Jessica Guenther swam for the Saskatoon Aqualenes until 2009. Placing first at 2009 Nationals in Figures, 2nd in solo she put herself onto the Junior National Team. After a very successful UANA Junior Pan Am (Jessica placed first in every event she was in), Jessica furthered her synchro career by going to swim with Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.



Recreational Development

Recreational Stream Athlete:

A Recreational Stream Athlete is a swimmer who is registered with a provincial association and Synchro Canada; is participating in a Synchro Canada program and does not compete.
  
The athlete may choose to be competitive once they have passed Star 3 or continue to be a recreational swimmer.

    * Compete - Participate in an event where there is ranking with others
    * Off-Season -those meets that take place from July 1st to December 31st

Short Term Recreational:

A Short Term Recreational Athlete is affiliated with Synchro Saskatchewan for 4 months and has the option of attending a Star Event and Show. The Short Term Recreational Programs go from September to December, January to April and May to August. Athletes have the choice to affiliate as recreational athlete once completing the short-term semester.

Recreational:

A Recreational Athlete is affiliated with Synchro Saskatchewan for a full year and has the option of attending three Star Events and Shows. An athlete must remain recreational until they have completed their Star 3.  At that time, they have the option of continuing as recreational or moving to competitive Tier 1.
