Jessica Guenther swam for the Saskatoon Aqualenes until 2009. Placing first at 2009 Nationals in Figures, 2nd in solo she put herself onto the Junior National Team. After a very successful UANA Junior Pan Am (Jessica placed first in every event she was in), Jessica furthered her synchro career by going to swim with Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.



NCCP Coaching Levels

OLD NCCP

Synchro Sask Synchro Instructor
A Recreational Coach that teaches Stars 1-4

Level 1
Coaches who are certified As Level 1 are able to coach recreational swimmers (up to star 8) and competitive swimmers competing in Tiers 1-3

Level 2
Coaches who are certified as a level 2 are able to coach recreational swimmers (up to super star 2) and Competitive swimmers competing in Tiers 1-5

Level 3
Coaches who are certified as a Level 3 are able to coach recreational swimmers (any star) and any competitive swimmer (Tiers 1-7).

New NCCP

The idea behind the New NCCP courses is to certify coaches only at the level that they will coach. Unlike the old NCCP the courses are not prerequisites for each other. I.e. a coach certified as a Competition Introduction coach should not be training recreational athletes.

Synchro Sask Introduction to Coaching
A Recreational coach that teaches the Aqua Squirts Program and skills in Star 1-4. Does not work with competitive swimmers. This course is aimed towards coaches with little to no previous synchro experience. This course is not recognized through the NCCP, however Synchro Sask recognizes the course and it is offered free.

Synchro Instructor (Synchro Canada)
A Recreational coach that teaches the Aqua Squirts Program and skills in Star 1-4. Does not work with competitive swimmers.

Competition Introduction Coach
A Competitive coach that coaches swimmers in Tiers 1-5.

Competition Development Coach (this course is not yet developed or offered)
A Competitive coach who coaches swimmers in Tiers 6-7.
