Masters and Adult Synchronized Swimming

Masters and Adult synchronized swimming is open to athletes 18 years of age or older.

Recreational Adult swimmers participate in the sport for fun, exercise and fellowship. Adults of all ages swim synchro. Our oldest member is well past the work retirement age of 65!

Competitive Masters swimmers participate for fun and fellowship but they also compete. Masters have the opportunity to compete at Saskatchewan Provincial Meets, Masters Nationals and FINA World Masters. Masters Nationals is held at the discretion of Synchro Canada.

Special Needs Athletes

Athletes of all levels of physical and intellectual abilities are fully able to participate in synchronized swimming. Synchro Canada developed a specialized Star Program just for these athletes – Synchronized Swimmer with a Cognitive Disability/Synchronized Swimmer with Physical Disability (SSWCD/SSWPD).

    • Follow the Star Program approved by Synchro Canada.
    • May compete in figures and routines at provincial meets.
    • Have the opportunity to compete at a national competition – depending on their level of disability and if the meet schedule approved by Synchro Canada includes their events.

Resources are available for clubs interested in expanding their program to include Special Needs Athletes (SSWID/SSWPD).
